Every chain in this unit

The three chains, each with its way home, and three mixes songs make of them.

iii–vi–ii–V–I. Every root falls a fifth: 3, 6, 2, 5, 1.

vi–ii–V–I. The same chain, one chord shorter.

I–vi–IV–ii. Every root falls a third: 1, 6, 4, 2.

I–vi–IV–ii–V–I. The thirds chain, then two fifths down to land.

I–ii–iii–IV–V. Every root rises a second: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

I–ii–iii–IV–V–I. The climb, then V falls a fifth home.

I–vi–ii–V. Down a third, then two fifths down: Heart and Soul.

I–ii–iii–vi. Two steps up, then iii falls a fifth to vi.

I–vi–IV–V. Two thirds down, then IV steps up to V: doo-wop.
